An 8-page children's zine that folds out into a poster educating children about what the gut microbiome is and what it does. This was created as a part of a live University brief in partnership with the Quadram Institute, Norwich.
Through the use of color and shapes, I aimed to visually represent the diversity of the gut microbiome in a way that’s easy for young audiences to grasp. Given the complexity of the topic, I focused on simplifying the information while still covering the basics. The (Not) So Secret World of Microbiomes uses an adventure-style narrative, guiding children through a fun and engaging journey as they discover how the ‘world’ inside of us works.
