This series of digital illustrations was created as part of a personal project exploring cozy, imaginative spaces designed for digital use specifically as phone wallpapers and laptop screens. The aim was to craft gentle, uplifting scenes that offer a moment of calm and charm in the everyday digital experience. These “little worlds” combine elements of nature, soft architecture, and pastel palettes to evoke comfort, nostalgia, and a touch of magic.
This illustration began as a loose concept sketch based on the idea of a warm, sunlit cottage surrounded by dreamy trees and winding paths. The goal was to design a scene that felt welcoming and still, like a quiet morning in a storybook landscape.
Working digitally, I blocked out the composition using soft shapes and a limited, warm color palette of yellows, pinks, and purples to give the piece a unified, dreamy atmosphere. The illustration was drawn using clean, smooth lines to keep the forms simple and readable on small screens like phones. Colour was applied with digital brushes designed to imitate flat, slightly textured fills, allowing the image to feel soft without losing clarity.
Careful attention was given to balance and flow guiding the eye from the foreground path to the little yellow house, and upward through the layered trees and floating clouds. Details like the beaded stone path, soft cloud shapes, and varied plant forms were added to create visual interest without overwhelming the viewer.
Designed to be both decorative and soothing, this piece is part of a set that brings storybook charm into everyday digital spaces.
