Inspired by Nature's Palette
Thread & Thistle is a conceptual branding and packaging project created for a fictional luxury home and lifestyle brand. The project explores how traditional illustration can be used to create a distinctive visual identity across a range of homeware and beauty products, including candles, soaps, lotions, soft furnishings and gift packaging.
Inspired by the colours and textures found in nature, I developed a hand-drawn floral illustration using expressive oil pastels in rich shades of blue and purple. Paired with a deep purple background, the artwork creates a bold yet elegant identity that evokes wildflowers in bloom and the changing seasons. The illustrations were designed to become the defining feature of the brand, celebrating the tactile qualities of traditional media while bringing warmth and personality to contemporary packaging.
This project demonstrates how a single illustrative style can be translated across multiple products and brand touchpoints, from product packaging and shopping bags to homeware collections, creating a cohesive and recognisable visual identity that feels both luxurious and handcrafted.
